Senior Executive Market Updates – Strong start to 2022

The InterExec global network of some 15,000 senior Search Consultants covers all of the major business sectors and geographic regions. The pre Christmas network view was consistently upbeat about the market in Q1 of 2022. Our initial feedback is that the expectation is proving to be true in practice.

Just one example of the current situation is a clear indication of how parts of the market are responding to an increasingly optimistic view.

A UK based Search Consultant has just picked up 50+ roles in the Middle East across multiple sectors/disciplines. He has asked InterExec to send anyone who is either there now or willing to relocate there regardless of sector/discipline. So things in the Middle East are clearly picking up in a big way.

As anticipated and expected, January has certainly been busier than the previous few years. This in itself is of course encouraging and momentum continues.

Direct quotes from the network have been “the pipeline is looking exceptionally healthy” and “we have started to be busy in several business sectors and at the Senior Executive level” to name a few.

Current InterExec clients have received multiple calls during the first month of this year regarding roles across a number of sectors and disciplines. This includes CEO, CTO, CFO within Renewable Energy, Charity/NFP and Telecom.

There are clear and strong indicators suggesting that we are closer to being over the worst of the pandemic, from a market perspective.

Several market sectors are now actively seeking Senior Executives and geographically the market appears to be strengthening in all major regions.

These include – Risk in Banking / Energy – Business Development and Marketing / Tax & Treasury / Pensions / Senior Operational Roles / Business Transformation / Consulting / Insurance and in the Legal sector.
